Nelson Vails

Growing up in the Harlem projects, Viall started winning races in Central Park, working his way up to a spot with the U.S. team. Since his retirement in 1995, Vails spends time as a cyclist commentator for major TV networks and has starred in Kevin Bacon’s “Quicksilver,” a movie about NYC bike messengers.
